Democratic presidential candidate Marianne Williamson threw a little shade at a recent photo shoot that was supposed to highlight the female 2020 candidates after she was not a part of it.
The spiritual activist was left out of the Vogue feature that included Sens. Amy Klobuchar, Kamala Harris, Kirsten Gillibrand, and Elizabeth Warren, and Rep. Tulsi Gabbard.
Williamson posted an edited version of the photo, that included her face in a framed photo, for her Independence Day post on Instagram.
“Happy July 4th! Other generations have done what they were called to do, and now it’s our generation’s time to do what we are called to do,” Williamson’s caption read. “The American revolution is an ongoing process, a continuous journey Into more and more expanded realms of possibility for everyone. It’s amazing when you dust off certain phases and reclaim them for their modern relevance. ‘Let freedom ring’ is not just a cliche after all.”

Williamson voiced her disapproval for not being included after it was pointed out the other women are already elected officials.
And what does that mean, exactly? The Constitution says qualifications are 35 or older, born here, and to have lived here for 14 years. Nothing else. They were leaving it to every generation to determine for itself the skill set it feels is most needed to navigate their times.

Williamson later revealed she was not the creator of the meme.
Although she is a long-shot candidate who has yet to make much headway in the polls, Williamson recently qualified for the second Democratic presidential debate.
