So Nielsen has apparently put together a nice chart indicating which web sites are the most liberal. Mother Jones squeaks out the DailyKos and Huffington Post for top-honors, with 70 percent of its readers self-identifying as “very liberal” or “liberal”. (I presume this is the difference between a Reverend who says the government invented AIDS as part of a racist conspiracy and a mere devotee of said Reverend.) At the other extreme, only 10 percent of Drudge Report and Fox News readers consider themselves left-of-center. What this reveals, however, is that people with left-wing politics either prefer to think of themselves as “moderate” or will not admit to visiting the Drudge Report. In other news, we learn there has been some confusion of the Huffington Post’s purported $200 million price tag. That’s the value of the site in monopoly money. As an aside, the WEEKLY STANDARD web site is also available for the fire-sale price of a gazillion dollars.
