O‘Malley announced a public-private partnership initiative to increase rental housing opportunities in Maryland for low-income disabled residents. It includes $1 million over two years from the Weinberg Foundation. The money will be used to cover capital costs in housing developments. The first of those units is expected to be available for occupancy next year.
