Mark Zuckerberg open to regulation if it’s the ‘right regulation’

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg told senators Tuesday that his company is open to regulation, as long as it’s the right regulation.

The issue came up in a joint hearing between the Senate Judiciary Committee and Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee about data privacy concerns and foreign efforts to use Zuckerberg’s huge social media company to influence U.S. elections. Those issues have raised the prospect of regulating the company, an issue that Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., raised directly with Zuckerberg.
