Recently released footage shows Hollywood star Will Smith teaching a young boy, reportedly named Chris, how to fake a slap a year prior to his attack on Chris Rock at the Sunday night Oscars.
In the clip, taken last year, the Oscar winner can be seen instructing a group of children how to fight for film and television.

He uses the boy, Chris, as his teaching instrument for the slap, according to the footage.
Smith’s technique for the faux slap appears similar to the one he laid on comedian Chris Rock’s face on Sunday at the 94th Academy Awards.
“Get my wife’s name out of your f***ing mouth!” Smith could be heard shouting at the comedian after the incident.
The actor has since apologized for striking the comedian after he made a joke at the expense of Smith’s wife.

Footage of Sunday’s slap has gone viral, and debate continues online as to whether the incident was staged.
