Elizabeth Warren drinks beer, talks 2020 in Instagram livestream

Sen. Elizabeth Warren drank beer and talked about her day in an Instagram livestream hours after she announced that she is taking a major step toward a 2020 White House bid.

The Massachusetts Democrat set up the camera in her kitchen and said she would take questions from followers.

“It’s been kind of an amazing day,” Warren said, detailing how she spoke with reporters outside her home and how she has received donations from people in all 50 states, D.C., and, Puerto Rico, according to Fox News.

Her husband, Bruce Mann, and dog Baily, also made appearance. At one point Warren told her audience to hold on while she grabbed a beer, which she cracked open and drank.

Warren announced earlier in the day that she launched an exploratory committee for a White House bid, which allows her to raise money without formally declaring. She later addressed reporters outside with her husband.

Her use of Instagram Live was reminiscent of livestreams put on by two rising Democratic stars, outgoing Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke and New York Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who have popularized talking to their supporters while cooking dinner or doing other tasks.
