‘Stern is pathetic’: Don Trump Jr. blasts shock jock for ‘attacking Trump supporters’

“The oddity in all of this is the people Trump despises most love him the most,” Stern said. “The people who are voting for Trump, for the most part … he wouldn’t even let them in a f—ing hotel. He’d be disgusted by them. Go to Mar-a-Lago; see if there’s any people who look like you. I’m talking to you in the audience.”

The radio host frequently featured Trump on his show prior to his political career.

Trump Jr. hit back at Stern on the Jim and Sam Show on Thursday, comparing the host to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in 2016.

“He’s acting like Hillary, which was, you know, probably what cost her some of the election was calling half the country deplorables for wanting to support someone who’s going to get things done for them, and he did,” Trump Jr. said, referencing the former Democratic nominee’s remark saying she could put half of Trump’s support base into a “basket of deplorables.”

Trump Jr. also credited his father’s business background and said he’s helped blue-collar workers rise throughout his career.

“Donald Trump was a better developer and built a brand because he spent time talking to those guys,” he said. “There’s a reason why you see guys within our company, even today — they started off as construction guys, started off as drivers, and they’re like executives because he gave them a chance.”

Trump Jr. also tweeted in response to Stern’s comments, calling the host “pathetic.”

“It’s one thing to attack my father, but Stern is pathetic for attacking Trump supporters,” he wrote. “These are salt of the earth blue-collar patriots who just want to live their American dream. My family is proud to have their support & we’ll always have their backs!”
