CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) — Former socialite Patricia Kluge’s transitional job at Donald Trump’s winery in Virginia has ended. But she will continue to work with the winery as a consultant.
Trump bought the winery formerly owned by Kluge and her husband, William Moses, last year at auction after it went into foreclosure. Kluge remained at the winery in Albemarle County as vice president of operations under a one-year contract.
Media outlets report that the contract has expired and won’t be renewed.
Trump Winery is operated by Trump’s son, Eric. He says Kluge’s position was temporary and she did a good job helping with the transition.
Moses’ contract as the winery’s general manager has been renewed. He says Kluge will serve as a consultant on a contract basis.
