You want oysters? Addie’s restaurant on Rockville Pike will be serving them up four ways at their annual charity Oyster Roast on Sunday.
Roasted, fried, shucked and barbecued — the tasty little bivalves will be getting devoured just the same, between noon and 5 p.m. Other items available will include barbecued chicken, chili, hot dogs, beer and wine. There’ll be live music from two bands, a costume contest and pumpkin decorating for the kids, plus an oyster eating competition and silent auction.
Proceeds go toward Black Restaurant Group’s goal of raising $200,000 to build a special teaching kitchen at the National Diabetes Care Complex at Children’s National Medical Center.
Tickets are $50 in advance or $60 at the door. Kids 5-12 are $20, 4 and under free.
