Toledo was in town visiting his family, according to a report from Reuters.
“My grandfather Nicolas Toldeo, father of eight and grandfather to many, left us this morning July 4th. What was supposed to be a fun family day turned into a horrific nightmare for us all,” said Xochil Toledo, his granddaughter.
Toledo had been in town for about a month, according to the report. Other members of Toledo’s family were among the 36 injured on Monday.
Earlier in the day, Toledo told his family that he didn’t want to go to the parade, saying that he was concerned about his health, according to one report.
Sundheim was identified Monday night by her synagogue, North Shore Congregation Israel. The synagogue sent an email to congregants informing them about Sundheim’s death.

“There are no words sufficient to express the depth of our grief for Jacki’s death and sympathy for her family and loved ones,” the synagogue said, according to Reuters. “Jacki’s work, kindness and warmth touched us all, from her teaching at the Gates of Learning Preschool to guiding innumerable among us through life’s moments of joy and sorrow, all of this with tireless dedication.”
The victims are between the ages of 8 and 85, according to ABC Newschannel 20 in Illinois.
