Conservative blogger Michelle Malkin was at the National Press Club today promoting her latest book, “Culture of Corruption: Obama and His Team of Tax Cheats, Crooks and Cronies”
The book attacks the Obama administration’s influences on Wall Street and their connections with unions. She also decries the hypocrisies within the administration. The book was released Monday, July 27, and has topped both Amazon and Barns & Noble’s best seller list.
Discussing typical political corruption such as behind-the-doors deals, Malkin claimed her book, “couldn’t have been better timed.”
Malkin described the administrations extensive use of czars and pointed out that government has muscled its way into the private sector.
Specifically, Malkin mentioned two czars in particular: Nancy-Ann DeParle, the health reform czar and John Holdren, the science czar.
DeParle has directed half dozen medical companies which have been federally investigated for fraud. Holdren co-authored a controversial book during the 1970s suggesting the use forced abortions and sterilization for population control.
Malkin also spoke about the influence of new media and praised efforts of the right’s online movement.
She cited the efforts of the grassroots tea parties springing up across the country thanks to social networking sites such as twitter.
She also praised the investigative efforts of journalists within the blogosphere. Twitter was singled out as a great source for direct action for promoting and organizing events.
