Ed Henry denies accusation of sexual misconduct

Ed Henry, an anchor recently fired from Fox News, denied the sexual misconduct accusation leveled against him.

On Wednesday night, Catherine Foti, Henry’s attorney, said the former anchor is innocent of the charges for which Fox News fired him after an outside law firm investigated the claims.

“Ed Henry denies the allegations referenced in the Fox announcement and is confident that he will be vindicated after a full hearing in an appropriate forum,” Foti said in a statement.

In a memo to employees, Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott and Fox News Media President and Executive Editor Jay Wallace said they suspended Henry as soon as the complaint was filed on June 25 and terminated him less than one week later. The complaint came from a former network employee and details an incident that occurred years ago.

Henry was promoted from his position as a guest co-host on Fox & Friends Weekend to co-anchor America’s Newsroom with Sandra Smith after Bill Hemmer, who used to co-anchor the morning weekday program, moved to fill an afternoon vacancy left by Shepard Smith.

Henry also lost a book deal to publish his memoir with publisher William Morrow. A spokesperson said the company “will no longer be publishing” the book, titled Saving Colleen: A Memoir of the Unbreakable Bond Between a Brother and Sister. The book, which was scheduled for a Sept. 15 release, details Henry’s relationship with his sister Colleen, to whom he gave part of his liver.

Henry took time off from Fox News in 2016 after In Touch Weekly published a story that revealed the former cable news host had an affair with a Las Vegas hostess.
