Everyone loves to hate opinionated and undeniably talented Annapolis native Christian Siriano, who steals scenes on Bravo?s reality show about fashion, “Project Runway.” Siriano, who honed his skills at Bubbles Salon and the Baltimore School for the Arts, is one of four finalists.
Besides sparking the catch phrases “Fierce” and “Feroshe,” he?s preparing his own clothing line that is scheduled to hit stores for the fall season.
He won?t spill who wins the finale, airing March 5, but he did reveal some off-camera secrets.
What?s most surprising about judge Heidi Klum?
She is so bubbly and never stops smiling. She sings the whole time. It?s fabulous. She sings and whistles all these little funny tunes that aren?t really songs and makes commentsunder her breath that are hysterical.
How much of your outbursts are the result of editing?
People are always asking my friends if I?m really like that. And yeah, I?m funny and crazy. But the side that people don?t see really is that I got really close with a lot of designers. They?d ask my advice and I would help. People don?t get to see my softer side.
Of the three judges, who would you marry, work with and make wear a design by contestant Ricky Lizalde?
Who would I marry? Heidi Klum! Who else? She?s gorgeous. Our wedding would be fabulous. I would work with [Editor of Elle Magazine] Nina [Garcia] because she is amazing. And I would love for [designer] Michael [Kors] to have to wear a Ricky outfit, definitely the bathing suit. [Ricky was offed in week 10 after designing an orange bathing suit for the diva wrestler challenge.]
