City’s 2007 homicides now at 37

A rash of weekend shootings has brought the number of homicides in Baltimore City to 37 for 2007.

Baltimore City Police responded to a shooting Saturday afternoon on the 3700 Block of Oakmount Avenue. George Baskerville was found shot in the leg and head. He was transported to Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead an hour later.

David Frasier, 29, of Baltimore, was found shot in the chest on Sunday at 1:06 p.m. on the 1000 block of Branch Water Court. Frasier was later pronounced dead at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Early Monday morning, an unidentified man was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds on the 2300 block of East Fayette Street.

Police said they have no motives or suspects in any of shootings. The three killings bring the monthly homicide count for February to nine.
