Trump: ‘There’s something going on’ with Clinton

Donald Trump said on Thursday that the American people will discover “what’s going on” with Hillary Clinton when the Republican and Democratic nominees meet on the debate stage next week.

The Republican nominee delivered the ominous message on Fox News, while saying he intends to remain calm during the presidential debate Monday.

“We’ll stay cool, I mean we’ll see what happens with her and we’ll see what’s going on with her because there’s something going on that a lot of people are trying to figure out,” Trump said. “And we’re just going to see what it is.”

The co-hosts of “Fox and Friends” interviewing Trump did not ask what the GOP nominee meant by suggesting “there’s something going on” with Clinton.

But Trump insisted that he would be “nice” at the debate.

“I’m going to be very respectful of her. I think she deserves that,” Trump said. “And I’m going to be nice. And if she’s respectful of me, that’ll be nice. We’ll have something that people will respect as a debate but we’ll see where it all goes.”

Monday’s presidential debate will be the first of three scheduled to occur in advance of Election Day. The first debate will be moderated by NBC’s Lester Holt, who Trump said had a lot of pressure on him. Trump has previously suggested the debate has already been “rigged.”
