First lady Melania Trump struck an optimistic tone while updating the status of her health following a positive coronavirus test on Oct. 1.
She thanked her medical staff and said she would be recovering from the disease in the White House.
“My family is grateful for all of the prayers & support! I am feeling good & will continue to rest at home,” Trump wrote. “Thank you to medical staff & caretakers everywhere, & my continued prayers for those who are ill or have a family member impacted by the virus.”

As of Monday afternoon, President Trump was at Walter Reed Medical Center, where he was airlifted Friday to undergo treatment for the coronavirus. White House chief of staff Mark Meadows said earlier Monday that he was “optimistic” Trump could be back in the White House by Monday evening.
Melania Trump was not taken to Walter Reed on Friday, and speaking about her condition with reporters, White House physician Dr. Sean Conley described her symptoms as “mild.”
