A black cafe owner and military veteran targeted by antifa vandals for being “unfriendly” to Black Lives Matter says his vote for President Trump has been “solidified.”
John Jackson’s Heroes American Cafe was targeted for being an “unfriendly business” by local antifa-linked groups and placed on a list meant to call out businesses that promote “blue lives matter garbage,” which resulted in the cafe being vandalized, according to Fox News.
“This solidified my Trump vote,” Jackson, who was previously on the fence about voting for Trump, told the media. “I’m done with this weakness, and we need some real strong leadership.”
“Black Lives Matter? I’m Black,” Jackson added while pointing out that he moved to Portland 10 years ago when the town was more “accepting.”
“They don’t even know who I am,” he said.
Jackson continued: “We are pro heroes, any hero — whether it’s a teacher, a firefighter, a police officer, or a vet. We’ve very American in nature. I served in the military. We’re red, white, and blue. Whatever side you’re on, you have a right to believe what you believe, but you don’t have a right to step on whatever you disagree with. We kind of felt like we’re neutral.”
Portland has witnessed more than 100 consecutive nights of violent protests stemming from the death of George Floyd on May 25.
