A phone call about healthcare between Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., and Vice President Mike Pence was interrupted by President Trump on Thursday, the senator said.

Graham told the Post and Courier’s Jamie Lovegrove that Pence hesitated, saying it was okay. “You should definitely take the president’s call,” Graham was quoted as saying.

The call focused on the so-called “Graham-Cassidy bill,” an amendment authored by Graham and Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-La., which would overhaul the Affordable Care Act and remove individual and employer mandates required by former President Barack Obama’s signature healthcare law. Both Trump and Pence support the latest GOP push to repeal Obamacare.

A vote is expected next week.

“All good news,” Graham said of his call with Pence that was interrupted, according to Lovegrove. Graham said Pence called him back afterwards.
