Actress Sally Field criticized comedian Samantha Bee on Thursday for calling Ivanka Trump “a feckless c–t,” insinuating President Trump’s daughter falls short of the definition of the word.
“I like Samantha Bee a lot, but she is flat wrong to call Ivanka a c–t. C–ts are powerful, beautiful, nurturing and honest,” Field wrote on Twitter.
Bee apologized to Trump on Thursday after receiving widespread condemnation for using the vulgar slur on the Wednesday night episode of her TBS show “Full Frontal.”
“I would like to sincerely apologize to Ivanka Trump and to my viewers for using an expletive on my show to describe her last night,” Bee said in a statement, referring to the White House adviser and President Trump’s eldest daughter.
“It was inappropriate and inexcusable. I crossed a line, and I deeply regret it,” she added.
