Ex-National Enquirer editor to write tell-all about ‘Trump and his women’

The former executive editor of the National Enquirer is reportedly writing a tell-all about President Trump’s relationship with women.

Barry Levine has signed a book deal with Hachette about “Trump and his women,” a source told Page Six Thursday. Other people told the tabloid that the manuscript could also cover Trump’s contacts with the Enquirer’s owner, David Pecker.

Pecker, the CEO of American Media Inc., the company behind the Enquirer, was granted immunity in August by New York federal prosecutors as part of their investigation into Michael Cohen, Trump’s ex-personal lawyer and fixer. Pecker is a close ally of Trump.

At least 22 women have accused Trump of sexual misconduct dating back to the 1970s. Trump has also faced allegations of extramarital affairs, most notably by porn star Stormy Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal. Trump has denied all these claims.

American Media Inc. and the National Enquirer became implicated in the Cohen case after it was revealed they had bought the story of McDougal regarding her sexual encounters with a married Trump before the 2016 election, but did not publish it. The practice is known as “catching and killing” a potential article.

Levine left the Enquirer in 2016 after 17 years at its helm. He was famously part of the team that uncovered the love child of 2004 Democratic vice presidential nominee John Edwards resulting from an extramarital affair.
