Baltimore Police are investigating a string of nearly a dozen fires that flared up across Edmondson Village neighborhood early Monday morning.
Firefighters responded to the first reports of a fire around 1:30 a.m. Residents called in more fires shortly after, according to the Baltimore Sun. In total, Baltimore emergency officials had put out 11 fires by 3:30 a.m.
Baltimore has dispatched investigators and arson specialists to look into how the fires were started, though no official conclusions have been reached.
Of the fires lit across Edmondson Village, six happened in homes, four in trash cans, and one in a car.
One man took a video of his childhood home burning down in the early morning hours. CBS Baltimore reporter Sean Streicher shared the video on Twitter.

“My mom yelled fire, the dog was barking, my initial reaction was to get everyone out of the house,” David Hendricks told CBS Baltimore. Hendricks and his family was visiting his mother when her house caught fire. Everyone escaped the burning building.
“I just heard a somewhat small explosion and then you heard flames,” Hendricks said.
