Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders is leading the Democratic field in Nevada.
A survey from the Nevada Poll, conducted from Feb.11-13, shows Sanders at 25% support, holding a seven-point lead over former Vice President Joe Biden. Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren trails in third place with 13%, while billionaire Tom Steyer polls just behind with 11%. Sanders’s lead is approximately 3.5% ahead of the RealClearPolitics average but reflects his increasing momentum over Biden.
Former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg and Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar are tied for fifth place, each holding 10%. The poll also shows that 8% of caucusgoers remain undecided.
Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard has not actively campaigned in the state and received 0%. Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is not on the ballot in Nevada but is scheduled to appear in the next Democratic debate on Feb. 19, just before the Feb. 22 Nevada caucus.
Bloomberg’s success comes from his massive campaign war chest of $62 billion. Though he did not participate in the Iowa caucuses or the New Hampshire primary, he has steadily poured money into television ads.
The survey polled 413 likely Democratic voters, and the margin of error was 4.8%.
