Trump: Beating Clinton might be ‘easy’

Donald Trump said Monday that Republicans are in a good position to beat Hillary Clinton in the general election, and said that given all of Clinton’s problems, it might even be easy.

“Based on her record, based on what she’s done, I think it should be very interesting, but it should be a Republican win, and it may be an easy one,” he said on CNN.

Trump has started to warm up to the idea of focusing on Clinton, since he could all but clinch the GOP nomination if he wins in Indiana’s primary on Tuesday. But Trump said Clinton has seen just a small part of the effort he would make against her.

“We are going to win,” Trump said. “Polls are just now coming out where I’m tied with Hillary, one just came out where I’m ahead of Hillary, and I haven’t started on Hillary yet.”

“So we’re starting to do really well, but I haven’t focused on Hillary yet, at all,” he added.
