At least 11 people were shot and two teenage boys died in an early Easter morning shooting in Pittsburgh’s East Allegheny neighborhood, according to city authorities.
Pittsburgh police responded to multiple gunfire alerts coming from a large party held at an AirBnB in the 800 block of Suismon Street, where as many as 200 people were gathered.
“You have alcohol. You have underage people here and you have guns. That’s a deadly combination for any type of an event,” Pittsburgh Police Commander John Risher said. “The end result is it’s a tragedy. There was unnecessary death here and gunshot victims. It all could have been prevented.”
