President Trump released his first statement after dozens of ballistic missiles hit Al Asad air base in western Iraq.
“All is well! Missiles launched from Iran at two military bases located in Iraq,” the president tweeted. “Assessment of casualties & damages taking place now. So far, so good! We have the most powerful and well equipped military anywhere in the world, by far! I will be making a statement tomorrow morning.”
Iran’s leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, threatened “revenge” after Trump ordered the killings of Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani and Iraqi militia leader Abu Mahdi al Muhandis.
