Former Vice President Dick Cheney will support Donald Trump’s bid for the White House.
Cheney told CNN’s Jamie Gangel that he has always supported the Republican presidential nominee and 2016 will be no different.
Cheney has previously suggested Trump is a “liberal Democrat” and called his proposed ban on Muslims entering America something that “goes against everything we stand for.”
Former President George W. Bush, Cheney’s boss, said this week he would be skipping the GOP’s convention in July where Trump will be formally nominated.
Former President George H.W. Bush, John McCain and Mitt Romney — the GOP’s 2008 and 2012 nominees — also don’t plan to attend the Cleveland convention.
