Tiger Woods finished 1 under par when his first round of the Masters came to an end Thursday afternoon.
Woods, 46, a five-time green jacket winner, shot 71 and saved par 13 times.
He had three birdies but bogeyed twice, and he was also on the receiving end of a loud ovation as he made his way to the green on the 18th hole, where he made par.

At one point, Woods was caught on a hot mic dropping an F-bomb after a shot did not go his way.

This is his first major tournament in roughly 17 months, according to a report.

The golf legend was asked on Tuesday if he believed he could win at Augusta National Golf Course.

“I do,” Woods said. “I can hit it just fine. I don’t have any qualms about what I can do physically from a golf standpoint. Walking is the hard part. This is normally not an easy walk to begin with. Now, given the conditions that my leg is in, it gets even more difficult. Seventy-two holes is a long road, and it’s going to be a tough challenge. And a challenge that I’m up for.”
