Former Vice President Joe Biden struggled to list one thing the Trump administration is “doing well” and instead said he picked a good wife.
“I do think there’s things he’s doing well, but it’s more the tone of this administration that bothers me,” Biden told NBC “Today” host Matt Lauer, who then asked for an example.
“I think he married very well,” Biden said.
“I”m actually trying to think because there are — I’m not being a wise guy,” Biden added, as he struggled to list one example.
“There’s a lot of the country that’s still functioning [under Trump]. For example, the choice of keeping the military personnel that we left behind in the Middle East is very, very important. He hasn’t changed that policy,” Biden said, though the reference was not about a new accomplishment of the Trump administration.
“What do you think Trump is doing well?”
“I think he married very well.”
