Nearly half of Virginians are using Internet connections with speeds below federal standards, a new study found.
About 49 percent of Virginians use Internet speeds below 4 megabits per second, the minimum bar set by the Federal Communications Commission, AP reports.
The study by the Communications Workers of America ranked Virginia 17th in the country for fastest speeds. Delaware topped the list, with Puertro Rico and the Virgin Islands falling last.
