Robert Skelton will retire as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary from Sparks-based McCormick & Co. after 32 years with the company, McCormick said last week.
Skelton’s retirement is effective Jan. 1, 2009. Geoffrey Carpenter, currently associate general counsel and assistant general counsel, will succeed Skelton.
“[Skelton’s] integrity, work ethic and compassion have served us well as he provided expert advice and wise counsel to our executives and board members,” McCormick President and Chief Executive Officer Alan Wilson said in a statement. “His tireless efforts contribute to our success by enabling critical acquisitions, protecting our brands and ensuring compliance.”
New England hospital using Ciena Corp. products
Linthicum-based Ciena Corp. recently announced that Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, New England’s largest Catholic hospital, will use Ciena’s network software to optimize patient care through high-performance connectivity across its hospital and data center facilities in Connecticut.
Ciena’s software ensure the quick delivery of voice and video traffic and real-time access to data applications.
