A British Airways jet was rocked by England’s strongest winds on record, and a man in Ireland is dead.

The top speed of Storm Eunice’s winds has clocked in at about 122 mph, according to a report.

This speed set the record as England’s most significant gust, beating the 115 mph winds of the “Great Storm” of 1987.

Millions of British citizens have been encouraged to stay home, the report noted, and one man is purportedly dead after a tree fell on him near County Wexford in the Republic of Ireland.
