Comedian and frequent President Trump critic Chelsea Handler will hold a conversation with conservative commentator Tomi Lahren at political convention PolitiCon later this month.
Handler “will participate in a lively conversation with conservative commentator Tomi Lahren — dubbed the right’s hottest new media star — for what is sure to be an impassioned discussion between the two on opposite sides of the spectrum,” organizers said in a statement.
PolitiCon said Handler and Lahren will take part in a “discussion,” not a debate as initially reported.
“It’s a discussion led by Chelsea, similar to how she does her Netflix show,” a PolitiCon spokesperson told the Washington Examiner. “She’ll act as the host and essentially interview Tomi. Of course, she’ll interject her signature wit and opinions into the conversation.”

Lahren amassed a wide social media following as a host on Glenn Beck’s Blaze TV before she was suspended after making several comments about conservatives and the pro-life movement earlier this year. She took Beck and the Blaze to court to be let out of her contract. She joined the pro-Trump Great America Alliance nonprofit in May.
The Handler and Lahren’s event will take place July 29 at PolitiCon’s third annual convention in Pasadena, Calif.
