NBC, MSNBC terminate relationship with Mark Halperin

NBC News and its cable arm MSNBC have ended their business relationship with well-known journalist Mark Halperin after reports that he sexually harassed former colleagues.

A spokesperson for MSNBC on Monday confirmed to the Washington Examiner that Halperin’s contract had been terminated.

It was reported last week that several women had accused Halperin of inappropriate behavior in the 1990s and into the 2000s when he was employed at ABC News.

Halperin initially denied many of the allegations though he admitted to pursuing relationships with some women he worked with. On Friday, however, he apologized publicly to the women he “mistreated.”
