N.Y. murder suspect caught in Md.

Police say a man on the run after allegedly stabbing his ex-wife to death in a Manhattan hair salon has been apprehended in Maryland.

Anne Arundel County police arrested 42-year-old Michael Kenny in Millersville on Friday evening, after learning he was likely traveling to that area to contact family members.

Police said a detective spotted Kenny in a parking lot in an area of the town near his family and followed them from the lot.

He didn’t stop when officers flashed their lights and sirens, and they followed him around the area in a slow-speed chase of less than 50 mph, police said.

Police used a tire-deflation device to deflate his tires, and Kenny’s van came to a stop on the 700 block of Mattawa Court in Millersville, police said.

He was apprehended after he was hit with a police shotgun that fires a bean-bag projectile, police said.
