Many of Hillary’s Own Supporters Think The FBI Should Have Prosecuted Her

A new NBC/SurveyMonkey poll reveals some weird insights, including that many of Hillary Clinton’s own supporters think the FBI should have recommended prosecuting her for her email conduct.

According to the poll, 68 percent of Clinton’s own supporters say her email behavior was not appropriate.

The poll also finds 20 percent of her own supporters disagree with the FBI Director Comey’s recommendation that Clinton should not be prosecuted for her email misconduct.

While these numbers are initially shocking, it is unclear how many of those who said Clinton’s email conduct was inappropriate and those who disagree with Comey are voting for Clinton as the lesser of two evils over Trump. It is possible that those voters would have otherwise voted for a non-Trump Republican nominee, or even Bernie Sanders.

53 percent of respondents said they want Sanders to stay in the race through the Democratic convention.

At the very least, these numbers show that those who support her—happily and begrudgingly—might prefer a better alternative, like a good third-party candidate.
