Police remove pink protester next to Pence

CLEVELAND — An anti-war protester from the organization Code Pink broke out into loud, anti-Donald Trump chants during Jeff Sessions’ speech at the GOP Convention Monday night.

“End the war! Donald Trump won’t end the wars!” the young, female protester chanted as she sat one section away from Trump’s running mate Mike Pence and only a few rows from the convention floor.

Soon after she began chanting about Pence and Trump, two Trump supporters sitting the row in front of he grabbed the sign she held which read, “We can stop the war, codepink.com.”

The feminist antiwar organization Code Pink had threatened earlier in the day to infiltrate the Republican Convention and disrupt it.

Although delegates attempted subdue the protester, she continued shouting and brandishing her sign. Trump supporters in nearby seats were chanting “USA! USA! USA!” to drown out the sound.

After a full minute struggle between the protester and delegates sitting near her, arena police came on the scene. Although they did not immediately remove the pink protester, one policeman covered her face with his hands so the press could not take her photo.

After about five minutes, the woman was completely removed from the arena.
