Ana Navarro says she yells ‘like a dog’ with its head outside of her car when in Florida: ‘We say gay!’

The View co-host Ana Navarro said on Monday that she leans out of her car “like a dog” and yells, “We say gay!” whenever she is near Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and his supporters.

Navarro’s comments were in response to co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin sharing a story about watching the 2024 presidential candidates, including DeSantis, campaigning in New Hampshire.

Griffin mentioned that she witnessed DeSantis get heckled with a “we say gay” chant.

Navarro chimed in, “It wasn’t me in New Hampshire screaming, ‘We say gay!'”

She added, “Though I wish I would have. I try to do it any time I’m anywhere near Ron DeSantis or any of his people.”

“I just, like, I go around like a dog in Florida with my head outside of my car: ‘We say gay! We say gay! We say gay!,'” Navarro said.

The View crowd cheered and applauded Navarro.

Navarro has been a frequent critic of Florida’s Parental Rights in Education Act, which is frequently referred to in a derogatory manner by activists as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill.

DeSantis signed the legislation in March 2022, and it received backlash for prohibiting sexual orientation and gender identity discussions in kindergarten through third grade classrooms.
