Joe Biden announced Monday he will release a memoir, “Promise Me, Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship, and Purpose,” on Nov. 14, and will launch a national book tour the day before.
A website for the book launched Monday says Biden’s book will reveal “the most momentous year in the more than forty-five he has spent in public life.”
“Not just a recounting by a politician, Promise Me, Dad is a personal story from a father, grandfather, husband, and friend as he confronts the inevitability of devastating personal loss, while trying to balance his duty to his family and his country,” the website said.
“Excited to share news about #AmericanPromiseTour — a series of conversations I’m hosting around the country,” Biden tweeted Monday.

Flatiron Books announced in April that Biden will write two nonfiction books for its Macmillan division, while Jill Biden will produce one of her own.
Former President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama signed a $60 million book deal of their own in February.
