President Obama is expected to join “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah” next week in what will be his final appearance on the Comedy Central program before he leaves office Jan. 20, the White House confirmed Friday.
The appearance Monday will mark Obama’s first late-night television interview since his party’s devastating defeat in last month’s election. The president gave his first post-election interview to Rolling Stone, published last week, and held a press conference with reporters at the White House on Nov. 14.
Obama has been a guest on the Comedy Central program seven times since taking office in 2009, though not since Trevor Noah took over for the iconic former host, Jon Stewart.
