Wikipedia users have fun with Corey Lewandowski after firing

Wikipedia users had some fun with Corey Lewandowski’s firing on Monday, seizing on the reported animosity between Donald Trump’s now-departed campaign manager and campaign chairman Paul Manafort.

After the announcement, Lewandowski’s Wikipedia page temporarily read: “Lewandowski was fired from the Trump campaign in 2016. Paul Manafort was seen consuming his remains soon after.”

Manafort, a longtime Republican operative going back to Gerald Ford’s campaign, has assumed control of Trump’s campaign.

Reports of friction between the two emerged earlier this year, though Lewandowski spoke positively of Manafort during his first in-depth interview Monday afternoon with CNN.

“When Paul first came in, he was going to manage the delegate process,” Lewandowski said. “Since that time, Paul and I have gotten along amazingly well … We divided things accordingly and we had a great relationship. There was no animosity between Paul and I.”
