Lindsey Graham: Bernie Sanders is the ‘most honest person in the Senate’

Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., is the most honest person in the U.S. Senate, according to Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., because he openly admits he wants the government to control the healthcare system.

“Is the bromance over already?” CNN anchor Dana Bash asked Graham after the senators sparred over payments to insurance companies at a debate Monday night.

“No,” Graham said. “Bernie is the most honest person in the Senate because he believes in government-running health care from cradle to grave.”

Sanders recently introduced a bill to create a socialized, “Medicare-for-all” system. Sens. Graham and Bill Cassidy, R-La., have a bill to send Obamacare funding to states in the form of block grants. That bill might be voted on this week, although three GOP senators have already said they will not support the bill.
