Republican Utah Sen. Mitt Romney congratulated apparent President-elect Joe Biden on Saturday after news networks projected that he won the presidency.
“Ann and I extend our congratulations to President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris. We know both of them as people of good will and admirable character. We pray that God may bless them in the days and years ahead,” Romney said.

The senator is known for his contentious relationship with President Trump and voting for conviction on one charge of abuse of power during the Senate impeachment of Trump. Romney was the 2012 Republican presidential candidate against the Obama-Biden campaign.
Romney would not say who he voted for in 2020, but he did confirm that he did not vote for Trump this cycle.
