‘Burn us all in the oven’: RT editor likens Russians to Jews during Holocaust

RT Editor-in-Chief Margarita Simonyan shared a song lyric on Thursday comparing Russians to Jews during the Holocaust and saying, “Burn us all in the oven,” according to a translation.

“European, you tell it like it is / Do not be silent: / Russian for you is a new Jew. / Burn us all in the oven,” she wrote, according to a translation.

“New song of Cord. It’s all true, of course.”

Founding partner and Washington correspondent for Puck News Julia Ioffe provided another translation, claiming the tweet says, “European, tell it like it is, / Speak up: / The Russian is your new k***, / You want to burn us all in an oven.”

The tweet comes after RT America abruptly ceased production last week, laying off the majority of its employees. According to a memo, the move was because of “unforeseen business interruption events.”

Countless television providers and platforms have announced the removal and censoring of the organization in the wake of Russia’s attack on Ukraine.
