Angel Shenkosky, a resident of St. Clair Shores, posted a photo of the lifeless bird on social media, saying it was found on her driveway and asking other people if they had ever seen anything like it.

“Is disturbing to me that in a subdivision as quiet as our that someone is taking out robins with a blow dart!!! Not cool!” she said on Facebook.

Shenkosky told WXYZ, a local ABC affiliate, that another dart was found on a neighbor’s roof.

She filed a complaint with the St. Clair Shores Police Department, and authorities are looking into the incident.

The robin is Michigan’s state bird and it is illegal for somebody to kill one of them.
