Carly Fiorina lost her balance on the stage as she was introducing Ted Cruz and his family in Indiana on Sunday, and fell into the crowd as Cruz was shaking hands with voters.
The former Hewlett-Packard CEO was in the Hoosier state speaking for Cruz at a rally the day before the state’s May 3 primary when she slipped off stage. She fell just as she introduced Cruz as “the next President of the United States!”
While Heidi Cruz, Ted Cruz’s wife, saw the fall and ran to her assistance, but the Texas senator was too far away to help. Despite the tumble, Fiorina appeared to be fine and regained her balance moments later, returning to the stage to campaign with the Cruz family.
Going in to tomorrow’s crucial Indiana primary, Cruz is in second place to Donald Trump, trailing him 42-33, according to Real Clear Politics averages.
