RH Terell Recreation Center (155 L St. NW) — I love taking Zumba classes and talking with neighbors.

Walking. Fall is one of the best times to get outside and see the city.

My son’s baseball games.

Busboys and Poets on 14th and V.

5. BEST PLACE FOR OUT-OF-TOWN VISITORS

Union Station. When friends and family come to town we head straight to the station for a double-decker bus tour.

National Museum of American History.

The Tidal Basin, especially during cherry blossom season.

8. FAVORITE WAY TO SPEND A LAZY SUNDAY

Sleeping. During the school year, sleep is a luxury.

Levi’s Port Cafe (1102 Eighth St. SE) — I love soul food and Levi’s definitely hits the spot after a long day.

Modern Day Spa in Pentagon City. It’s a great one-stop for massages, facials and nails.

My apartment.

Any Mexican restaurant open after midnight.

Working for Mayor Gray.
