The Senate votes Wednesday at 4 p.m. EST on the two articles of impeachment against President Trump.
Trump was charged by the House with abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, spurred by the president pressuring Ukraine to investigate political rivals such as former vice president and presidential candidate, Joe Biden.
A two-thirds “super majority” of senators present is required to remove Trump. The GOP-led Senate is expected to acquit the president, who delivered his third State of the Union address in the House chamber Tuesday evening.
