Veteran and wife among seven dead identified in Marine motorcycle club tragedy

Officials announced Sunday the identities of the seven bikers who died in a 10-motorcycle pileup in New Hampshire after a pickup truck hit them.

Jo-Ann and Edward Corr, both 58; Michael Ferazzi, 62; Albert Mazza, 49; Daniel Pereira, 58; Aaron Perry, 45; and Desma Oakes, 42, were killed in a crash involving the Marine Jarheads MC, a motorcycle club for Marines and their spouses.

The Corrs were married and about to celebrate their 38th wedding anniversary on July 2. Edward was a veteran of the Marine Corps, having joined up immediately after high school. Jo-Ann worked as a distributor for the multi-level marketing company SeneGence International and Ed was the head technician at a Massachusetts landscape company.

Jo-Ann’s brother Bob Boudreau said on Facebook that he received a call Friday evening after the crash.

“Please keep their children, grandchildren and the rest of our family in your thoughts,” Boudreau said. “Hold your family and loved ones close and tell them you love them. You never know.”

“We are all devastated and numb at the moment,” he added.

Three other people were injured in the accident and survived, but authorities did not publicly identify them.

“This is one of the worst tragic incidents that we have investigated here in the state,” New Hampshire State Police Col. Chris Wagner said Saturday. “It’s going to be a very lengthy investigation.”

Witnesses at the crash described the scene as “devastating.”

“[It] was just complete chaos,” Jerry Hamanne told WBZ-TV.

“And the mangled bikes and the bodies just lying everywhere, screaming for help,” Hamanne said.

Authorities said Volodoymyr Zhukovskyy, 23, was the driver of the truck that hit the motorcycles.

He is an employee of Westfield Transport, a freight shipping and trucking company based in Massachusetts.

Zhukovskyy was not hospitalized after the accident and police have yet to press any charges.

The National Transportation Safety Board is also investigating the event and looking for evidence to determine how the crash occurred.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to assist the families of the victims. The page has raised more than $300,000 as of Monday morning.
