O’Malley Says DWS Rigging Process for Hillary

Martin O’Malley, the Democratic presidential candidate, accused the chairwoman of his party of rigging the primary process for Hillary Clinton. Speaking on MSNBC’s Morning Joe Thursday, O’Malley praised vice chairs of the Democratic National Committee who have called for more primary debates. The former Maryland governor has been agitating for more debates than the six already announced by the DNC.

“It would be unprecedented for us to tell Iowa, you can only have one debate before the caucuses or New Hampshire, you can only have one debate and by the way, it has to be on a Saturday at the peak of shopping season so no one can watch it,” O’Malley said.

Asked by host Joe Scarborough if he thinks the process is being “rigged,” O’Malley responded, “I do.”

“I’m told that this is the prerogative of the chair,” O’Malley continued. “There’s always an inclination, I think, for old relationships to kind of circle the wagons and protect one another.” Watch the video below:
