The Defeat Crooked Hillary PAC unveiled a new ad on Tuesday that attacks Hillary Clintons’ record on combatting terrorism, and said Benghazi shows she has a “history of refusing to help Americans under attack.”
“Hillary Clinton likes to tout her foreign policy experience, but when it came time for help for four Americans in Benghazi, Libya, Hillary Clinton did nothing,” a narrator said in the ad. “This is a running trend with the Clintons: 1993 World Trade Center, six dead; Tanzania, Kenya, U.S. Embassies; 224 dead; U.S. Navy warship Cole suicide boat attack,17 sailors dead.”
“The Clintons did nothing,” the narrator said.
The ad, titled “Do Nothing,” will target voters in swing states online, according to Defeat Crooked Hillary PAC.
“[W]hether Americans are under attack and action is immediately required, or whether we have been attacked and retaliation is necessary, Hillary Clinton consistently refuses to lift a finger,” said Hogan Gidley, the Defeat Crooked Hillary PAC’s communications director, in a statement. “Americans deserve a strong commander in chief who will never apologize for America and always do whatever is necessary to protect this country and our families.”
The first presidential debate featuring Clinton and Trump will occur on Monday in New York. National security is expected to be one of the three main topics of the debate.
